A Gentle Evergreen Study: Living Christmas Nature Lessons
Looking for a gentle way to explore nature with your children this Christmas season? This free 4-week evergreen nature study guides your family through peaceful observations and simple journaling.
The Christmas season naturally draws our attention to the beauty of the evergreen tree. While winter settles in, these trees offer a wonderful opportunity for gentle nature study with our children. Their year-round greenery provides a perfect subject for peaceful observation and discovery.
This four-week nature study guide grew from my family’s Charlotte Mason-inspired learning. It pairs Miss Mason’s method of careful observation with the natural interest that children have in evergreens during the holiday season. The study takes just 15-20 minutes per week, fitting naturally into December’s busy rhythm.
